What a treat

BBC4 last night showed a wonderful documentary on the career of Eric Clapton with some great early footage of Cream and Blind Faith, Old Grey Whistle Test (I wish they would show repeats of that show, especially early 70's) and a great set with Delaney and Bonnie.
Even better, after this show was the Cream revival concert at The Royal Albert Hall which was almost - but not quite - as awesome as the Pink Flod revival at live 8, well done BBC lets have more of these eg. the Stones, Bowie, Led Zepplin, Deep Purple, Gary Gltter - oops sorry I didn't mean that!

Well it looks like the house move is going ahead, we've signed contracts so we should be in by next month so any local help would greatly be appreciated.(This is bad news for Den as now I will find those photos)

Dom went to London with a group of friends last weekend and were mugged at knifepoint in a late bar by a gang who stole all their mobiles and handbags, fortunatelly he was carrying neither and was so pissed he fell on the floor and missed everything. It wasn't until the next morning that he was told what happened, 'where was I' was all he asked - Typical. When he came home he declared that he was never going to London again as it was dangerous..'just where about's did you go?' I asked 'Bethnal green' he replied.....I rest my case

Was that what I ordered?

A rather pleasant 41 club diner last night at the Pheasant, Shefford Woodlands (Will Young's dad's place for those not from around here) excellent food and service unfortunately it was Nouvelle Cuisine which is french for 'Pay a lot get a little' Scallops with smoked mashed potato with chorizo sounded great as a starter and a snip at £10, unfortunately what I got was 3 winkles and timbel of mash hidden by a rocket leaf, I think they forgot the chorizo. My Main course looked more like it, Monkfish crumble, I'll take their word for it that it was monkfish, however the ambience and company were excellent even at £40.00 excluding wine I would still go back, I just might skip the starter and go for the Cod and Chips. Worth a visit when you're feeling flush.

Still Struggling

Well i'm still struggling to find time to post and I appreciate everyone's encouragement to do so, however until the two events I am managing are over at the end of the month, I won't have much time.
We have found a new house and are waiting for the paper work to go through and with a bit of luck we will be in before the end of November, fingers crossed, so that'll give me another lack of time to blog!
The boy is doing well at college and loves it though we rarely see or hear from him, he's only been home once and that was because he needed some washing done, however he has managed to get into the Rugby team so at least he'll be a bit fitter.
I notice a new trend in comments on blogs and that is of people leaving spam comments with links to their websites advertising various pills and potions, as if it's not bad enough with email.
More later, I have urgent work to attend to.
Nice to hear from you again Den.
