The Bell at Ramsbury

First Things in order:

Nigel S. I hope things aren't to sore after your reversal operation and that all is working well!

Happy 40th Birthday Culley, sorry I couldn't join you for the golf.

Manys Thanks to Nikki W. and Steve, we dined at the newley opened restaurant at the Bell at Ramsbury. Not sure how to rate it overall but 3 out of our 4 meals were excellent one was inedible.
The service left a lot to be desired, the owner and front of house was more interested in talking to his regular diners and chatting up the female regulars, than serving wine etc to new custom. The rest of the waiting staff were an average age of 13 and intent only on delivering meals from the kitchen and the table and vice versa. This meant that if you wanted more wine or anything else you had to go to the bar and ask if there is there any possibilty of being served, as the chances of catching the eye of the owner were nil. Unless you were female, blonde, around 30 and wearing jeans and an armless afghan jacket that is.
On the plus side I liked the decor, wine, beer (Ramsbury Ale)and whiskey and there are not many places that serve 28 day old rib of beef.
Shame the owner is such a tosser.

Nice write up! Wouldn't it be good to get the owner to read it himself to see what people thought!

Cheers
