Update

Well I haven't posted for a long time, still very busy work wise and spending much of my evening time putting up shelves and pictures, I've got a list of jobs as long as my arm. The only set back so far is the garage which I had hoped to use as a studio/workshop, however the garage has a metal cladding roof which condensates heavily resulting in everything getting damp from the constant dripping so all my equipment is having to stay in flight cases for the time being until we can get it insulated (expensive).
The shower problem was overcome but beware plumbers who charge £35.00 an hour (expensive)
Had a great golf day out on Friday at Donnington Grove, very cold, the course remained frozen throughout the day, but never mind we had hip flasks which probably explained why we started at 11.30am and had only reached the 12th hole by 3.45pm where we abandoned the game and retired to he bar.
Great to see Pink Floyd inducted in the UK hall of fame last week.

We're In

Well after 18 months of searching we've finally moved in and everything went without a hitch except for the ongoing shower problem. The replcement finally arrived yesterday and was fitted on to find that the regulator reduced the flow input from 22mm to 15mm which simply means there is not enough pressure for the hot water, so as I'm writing this the plumber is fitting an electric pump, I am not looking forward to his bill.
And have you tried to hire a skip lately - £150! for a large dustbin, if it wasn't for the 12 sacks of bat shit and the tumble drier I'd put it in the back of the Disco and drive to the tip myself.
Anyway a thousand thanks to Nikki & Jo who blitzed the place with cleaners and paint and to Steve W, Nob, Sid and Nigel P for their help on saturday collecting various bits of furniture from all over Hungerford, I'm sorry the pinball was so heavy and had to be moved 3 times, and thanks for the many offers of help.

I'm still here

Ok, so it all went pear shaped, I had intended to blog more frequently once my events were over the last beirng last week, but things haven't turned out in such a way as I have nothing better to do than sit here and write drivvel.
We are moving house this weekend and yes we are packed and ready to go having to be out by Tuesday, however we have problems in the new house. Yhe builders arrived on time tuesday this week, unfortunatley the supplies didn't. The new shower cubicle ( which was ordered 3 weeks ago) was dropped and smashed at the depot and as yet we do not have a new delivery date, never mind the fact |I have a builder and a plumber on a daily rate waiting.
The plumber was unable to go into the attic to run new pipes on account that the floor of the attic was covered 2" deep with bat shit and refused to continue without a respirator. In the meantime we have to get people in to clear the bat shit but can not remove the bats - which I can live with. Then there were the flies. The house had been unoccupied for 3 months and when we opened the upstairs velux windows the whole upper floor filled with at least 1 million flies. We were hoovering them up with a Dyson whilst there were still alive and they were spinning around cyclic style even after the vacuum was turned off. We filled three dust containers full. Thank god they are now all gone. The garage which was going to be my studio has now flooded with all the excessive rain that we have had over the last 3 days and the mile long private road to the farm house floods like buggery and although this does not cause a problem to my 4x4, Bin's Mazda is suffering, I think I can forget all about car washes until the spring.
Anyway it's now time to go to the house and start painting and see what other disaters have occured during the day.
